That’s a better fan curve, but you can increase the flat line section in very small increments until you can hear it, then lower it one increment & leave it there - you may get slightly more RPM than 20% & hence better cooling. My guess is you will get into the 80s running cinebench. If you do, this is only of concern if you do a lot of heavy processing tasks, if you are just gaming then it is no problem at all. But if I use Chrome and Discord at the moment, they ramp up to 55C. not without modding it. i am looking at this option. basically the studs are too short and welded in place. so they would have to be drilled out, replaced with longer ones and rewelded. not sure how to go about htis, and if it is cheaper at that point to buy a 3rd cooler and get one with backplate that isnt 53mm this time. diptenkrom • 2 yr. agoThe Ryzen 5 5600 and Ryzen 7 5700X sip power thanks to their 65W TDPs limiting them to 76W of package power. In fact, system-wide power draw for these chips is about the same as the CPU-only power ...I used Ryzen Master's auto curve optimizer feature and it set all my cores to -30. That’s a better fan curve, but you can increase the flat line section in very small increments until you can hear it, then lower it one increment & leave it there - you may get slightly more RPM than 20% & hence better cooling. Something to toy with if you want. Desktop CPUs throttle down power consumption and clock speeds when idle. 30w TDP for idle from a 105w TDP CPU at full throttle means the chip is working correctly. the 5900hs is a mobile power optimized monochip, the 5800x has an soc chip which has an relatively high power draw.
